We met Brandi and Joe during their epic engagement shoot we did with them on the Maine coast last autumn. From the first minute we met these two we knew they were going to be fun to work with. Both from the area, Brandi and Joe decided to marry at Village By The Sea in Wells after a quick tour of the venue when they both fell in love with the large reception space and their friendly staff.
Steph and I absolutely love hearing when our couples share the moment(s) when they knew they wanted to marry each other. These stories often come out during the dinner toasts which typically is my favorite part of the wedding day. It may just be the journalist in me but I truly enjoy knowing our couples' stories. To paraphrase Joe's story, he said he had finally realized that she was the one while they were on their first major vacation together in Florida with her family. He knew then that he did not want to go the rest of his life without her and her amazing family in it. Brandi on the other hand knew it a bit sooner. She said soon after meeting him for the first time she just automatically felt that there was something more there.
This wedding celebration had it all, complete with a specialty made surprise groom's cake in the shape of Fenway Park to honor the passion for the sport that he and his father have. However, my favorite little add-on was the late night pizza delivery of over 10 pies that were ordered to help re-energize the dance floor fanatics that refused to let the tunes slow down that DJ Greg Young was sending out!
